English teachers in European schools plan short educational trips for their pupils in the UK once or twice a year. Their aim is to bring language to life for their pupils. They achieve this by having the pupils stay with local families where they can use their English in real settings. They also plan visits to historical sites, museums, towns and villages and explore the countryside and the landscape of the different parts of Great Britain. Our centres are highly popular with teachers abroad, not least because of the quality of our host families.
Some travel agents have found homestay accommodation particularly attractive for adult tourists visiting Devon and Cornwall. They find the close contact with English families much more rewarding than staying in hotels and guest houses.
