cornwallCornwall is one of the most beautiful regions of the UK, and a favourite holiday destination for the British, as well as many Europeans.  There aren’t many better places to learn English in an area of such natural beauty.

Cornwall is famous for its long golden beaches, dramatic coastline and beautiful scenery. There are many ways to enjoy the region. Footpaths cover the entire 365 miles of coastline. Inland, you can enjoy exploring many woods and forests. Boat trips and river cruises allow you to access hidden countryside and traditional coastal fishing villages.

Over the years artists, painters, authors and sculptors have all made Cornwall their home, seeking inspiration in its natural beauty. We have our own extension of the London Tate Gallery in St.Ives, where many of England’s most famous artists and painters live.

The region has a magical and mystical history. Iron Age villages and legendary mediaeval castles such as Tintagel are associated with King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Cornwall has made one of the most significant contributions to Britain’s Industrial Revolution in the 18th and the 19th. Centuries – the Steam Engine and its use in the Mining Industry and the railways. You can visit working mines such as Wheal Jane and Geevor Mine.

Cornwall is the perfect destination for combining learning English with sports such as golf, horse riding, surfing, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and kite surfing. There are also several modern and well-equipped indoor swimming pools and leisure centres.
